Overall, the Active FX works better for skin tightening but both procedures have their advantages. The Titan uses a non-ablative infrared light to heat dermal collagen and causes both collagen contraction and new collagen deposition which helps tighten the skin. The Titan requires three procedures but there is little to no discomfort and zero downtime. Patients can expect about 5-10% tightening after each procedure which last for 1-2 years. The Active FX uses a CO2 laser to removal a small core of tissue (about 1 hair thick) which literal decreases the amount of skin. During a face lift approximately 30 square cm of skin are removed, during an Active FX procedure approximately 20-25 square cm of skin are removed. There is also a significant thermal effect from the Active FX which causes the tissue around the removal site to shrink and also stimulates new collagen deposition. Although there is very little discomfort most patient prefer to take between 5-7 days off before returning to social activities. A single Active FX treatment can tighten tissue from 10-35% depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment. Results last several years.

CoolSculpting® is widely hailed as one of the best non-surgical fat removal treatments available today. But even though CoolSculpting® is a highly successful treatment that has helped countless patients achieve their goals, this treatment doesn’t always go according to plan. If your results from CoolSculpting® aren’t quite what you hoped or if you developed one or more complications after your initial CoolSculpting® procedure, Dr. Verebelyi and his staff can provide the necessary revisions or corrections to improve your CoolSculpting® results. Getting the Coolsculpting® Results You Want The most important part of preparing for any cosmetic procedure is doing your research to find the most qualified surgeon. Even many well-trained and skilled plastic surgeons are not familiar with new technologies like CoolSculpting®. Patients should be certain that the provider who performs their CoolSculpting® treatment is trained and experienced in fat anatomy and has attended CoolSculpting® University. However, if your procedure does not produce the results you are seeking or if the treated area develops lumps of fat or uneven tissue, Dr. Verebelyi can help. REQUEST A CONSULTATION Simply fill out the form on this page, and one of our highly trained staff members at Colorado Skin & Vein will reach out to your promptly to schedule your appointment. Dealing With Side Effects from CoolSculpting® After CoolSculpting®, it is fairly common for patients to experience temporary side effects such as swelling, redness, bruising, tingling, or numbness. These side effects will subside quickly and should not affect your results. However, in some unusual cases, CoolSculpting® can lead to skin damage or other complications, or it may produce poor results. One example of this is when the handpiece is inappropriately placed during treatment, leading to contour irregularities. Another example is the reduction of too much fat. In both of these cases, Dr. Verebelyi can perform revision CoolSculpting® to improve your body contours and refine your results. Patients should recognize that complications and adverse reactions are rare, and CoolSculpting® is FDA approved for the safe removal of fat. However, in the unlikely event that you experience one of these unexpected complications or poor results, Dr. Verebelyi can help to resolve the issue. At our practice, we treat many skin conditions and can perform alternative fat removal or fat transfer procedures to help individuals achieve their aesthetic goals. If CoolSculpting® is not right for you, Dr. Verebelyi may be able to perform another procedure instead to create the smooth and slim body contours you desire. “The staff at Colorado Skin & Vein is very helpful and always makes sure to answer any questions during visits. The cosmetic enhancement industry is constantly evolving, creating new technologies, formulas, and manufacturing processes to give patients the most versatile and effective choices for treating various aesthetic concerns. If you’re unsure of the best dermal filler, Colorado Skin & Vein is on the cutting edge with the latest techniques and products to help you. How Dermal Fillers Work The versatility in different dermal fillers is how various sized hyaluronic acid (HA) molecules are cross-linked. For finer results and more detailed shaping, smaller HA particles are used. Medium HA molecules are designed specifically for moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, and larger molecules treat severe folds and wrinkles and add volume lost to aging. Whether you desire slightly plumper lips and smoothing the fine lines around your mouth, or added volume to your cheeks, dermal fillers offer a formula that’s right for you. Cross-linking can be likened to the weave of a net. The more cross-links there are, the tighter the net, and the more support it provides. So for thicker gel with less give, greater cross-linking is ideal to treat volume lost in the cheeks and the backs of the hands or to fill in severe wrinkles and facial folds. Fewer cross-links produces a finer, thinner gel best suited for subtle changes to the lips or filling in fine lines. During your consultation, the team at Colorado Skin & Vein can guide you through a treatment plan that is right for you. How Revanesse® Versa™ Works Versa™ is a bit different than other fillers in how it’s manufactured. Under a microscope, Versa™ shows the HA particles stay closer together and are more consistent in size thanks to the manufacturer’s wet milling process. This provides a durable gel with an easily-molded consistency that lasts longer than most dermal fillers. The strict quality controls in place during Versa™’s manufacturing process adhere to the most meticulous safety standards. Free of animal products, every syringe is visually inspected before it leaves the factory, ensuring Versa™ is the safest, purest dermal filler on the market today. Simply fill out the form on this page, and one of our highly trained staff members at Colorado Skin & Vein will reach out to your promptly to schedule your appointment. REQUEST A CONSULTATION Versa™’s proprietary Thixofix cross-linking technology promotes linking between different HA polymer chains for maximum durability. The HA particles in Versa™ are spherical in shape, which balances smoothness and volume of the gel to treat lines and wrinkles or add plumpness where it’s needed most. The shape of HA also improves integration with tissues, resulting in up to a 24% reduction in swelling for greater patient comfort. The Comparison Versa™ – along with various dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm, are made up of HA molecules of different sizes for the type of gel manufactured. Both use advanced technology to control the consistency, smoothness, and volume of the gel. The nuance of the cross-linking is what makes all the difference. Studies have shown Versa™ lasts longer than other dermal fillers, so this newcomer in the cosmetic enhancement market is one to watch. At Colorado Skin & Vein, we proudly offer Versa™ to our patients, and our in depth consultation is designed to plan the most effective treatment for your unique needs, facial expressions, and goals. Under the guidance of Dr. David Verebelyi, we provide award winning patient care that can’t be found anywhere else in the greater Denver area. Whether you have varicose veins on your legs, arms, or elsewhere, Colorado Skin & Vein can help you get the smoother, vein-free appearance you’ve been dreaming about. *Individual Results May Vary. But this might leave you with one important question: “How much does varicose vein removal cost?” The Cost of Varicose Vein Removal in Denver According to RealSelf, the average cost of varicose vein removal in the greater Denver and Englewood areas is $975. Varicose vein removal can be as high as $5,000, depending on how many varicose veins you wish to treat. The cost also depends on the type of varicose vein removal treatment being offered, as various practices offer different solutions. REQUEST A CONSULTATION Simply fill out the form on this page, and one of our highly trained staff members at Colorado Skin & Vein will reach out to your promptly to schedule your appointment. REQUEST A CONSULTATION How Does Varicose Vein Removal Work? At Colorado Skin & Vein, we offer many types of non-surgical varicose vein removal treatments to help you get back clearer, smoother legs. Let’s take a look at our top two treatments: Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), which involves the placement of a small cannula directly into the varicose vein. Once the cannula has been inserted into the vein, it emits waves of laser light energy. This energy helps encourage the varicose vein walls to close up, which redirects blood flow and causes vein death. The entire treatment takes about an hour to perform and delivers noticeable results in as little as one to two weeks. Endovenous Radiofrequency (EVRF), which is a treatment that is similar in function to EVLA. However, instead of using laser light energy, EVRF uses ultrasound energy to redirect blood flow to healthier veins, thus causing the varicose vein to close up and die. Over time, the unused vein is reabsorbed by the body, leaving behind a clearer and smoother surface. Take the Next Step Now that you know the cost of varicose vein removal, why not see if you’re a good candidate for our menu of varicose vein removal treatments? Blood pooling in the legs caused by Vein Malfunction is a problem for many of our patients. Venous insufficiency is a condition characterized by blocked blood flow through the veins. Blood pooling in the legs caused by Vein Malfunction is a problem for many of our patients. Venous insufficiency is a condition characterized by blocked blood flow through the veins. Varicose veins make patients feel less attractive and can sometimes be painful. To provide patients with a quick and easy treatment solution, our doctor performs endovenous radiofrequency (EVRF) vein ablation procedures using ClosureFast. A ClosureFast Procedure Our doctor performs a minimally invasive ClosureFast procedure on an outpatient basis. The procedure is popular because it is quick, usually only 45-60 minutes, and provides excellent results. Important procedure steps include the following: Ultrasound guidance is used to insert a catheter into a varicose vein The doctor advances the catheter to the segment of the vein that is causing blood to pool Anesthesia is delivered to the vein to increase patient comfort and maximize results The ClosureFast portable generator delivers radio frequency energy to the vein. Once the vein is heated to 120 degrees Celsius, it closes and blood is redirected to other veins. The patient returns home shortly after the procedure and returns to normal physical activities within a few days. ClosureFast Results Our patients love ClosureFast because it provides excellent and long-lasting results. One to three weeks after the procedure, patients see dramatic improvements in the appearance of varicose veins. Final results are seen when post-procedure swelling completely subsides. Results last up to five years. EVFR Advantages EVFR vein ablation therapy has replaced vein stripping and laser therapy as the most effective treatment option for varicose veins. Key advantages EVFR has over these other treatment options include the following: Ideal incision location. Below the knee, rather than in the groin. Quicker recovery. Less discomfort, bruising and swelling. Longer-lasting results. Up to five years. Patients who have their procedure performed by one of our doctors can look forward to receiving maximum results. All procedures are customized to meet the specific needs of each patient. Scheduling an Initial Consultation A ClosureFast procedure is the best way to improve the appearance of varicose veins and stop blood from pooling in your legs. It seems like every few years a new permanent makeup trend pops up that everyone is trying. The possibilities are endless, from permanent eyeliner to microblade eyebrows or even the most recent — tattooed lip color. But with these rapidly changing trends coming and going over time, many are left with outdated and faded makeup, leaving many with serious “buyer’s remorse.” But is permanent makeup correction possible? And if so, at what cost? Options for Permanent Makeup Removal 1. Be Patient The easiest option; wait it out. Faded microbladed eyebrows happen over time, and in some cases, many see changes and discoloration in their permanent tattoo over the course of 6-24 months due to the delicate nature of facial skin. Unfortunately, complete fading to the point where your makeup tattoo is no longer noticeable is not likely as tattoos often never fade, no matter how long you wait. 2. Tattoo Removal Creams Many have claimed that a tattoo removal cream is a great option as they have seen gradual fading in their permanent tattoos over time. However, no clinical studies have shown this to be true. It is more than likely that over time the tattoo will fade but never entirely. Because these creams only affect the upper layer of the skin (to incite peeling) there is never a complete reversal. The tattoo has permanently penetrated the deeper levels of the skin that the cream will not reach. If you decide to go this route, here are some options that many claim to help with removal: – DIY “made from home” scrub of Salt & Lemon – Rosehip Seed Oil massaged into the skin 3 times daily – Topical over-the-counter “fade” creams 3. Salt and Saline Treatments Many have sworn by the Salt and Saline treatment as they have claimed to see a difference in the appearance of their permanent makeup— especially for old faded microblading. The Salt and Saline treatment should only be performed by a skilled technician and not be confused with the vastly different “at-home scrub” methods. During your session, the technician will combine a salt and saline solution and insert it into the skin like an exfoliator. One session is equal to that of 2 months of exfoliation. The salt works to bind the permanent ink, bring it to the surface, and once scabbed, will remove the ink. Some call this method “Controlled Stabbing” and consider it an alternative to laser removal. However, this method has its risks. The constant repetitive stabbing and the acids within the salt can remove hair in the area affected (think eyebrows!) and can irritate the skin. With this method, there is also a risk of blistering, permanent scarring, and hyperpigmentation in the skin over time. 4. Laser Removal Considered the most effective method of permanent makeup removal, laser removal uses pulses of laser light to break up the ink under the skill then the cells absorb the molecules. Depending on the laser type (and your skin type), the results vary but consistently have been shown to be effective. However, for delicate areas like permanent makeup correction around the face, you will need to be more cautious due to the higher risk for damage. Some other things to keep in mind when using a laser for permanent makeup removal are the pigments used in makeup tattoos that differ and can affect the removal process. For example, lip pigments contain titanium oxide making the tattoo stand out more, meaning laser removal may turn the tattoo gray rather than removing it completely. This means you will need more treatments to completely remove the tattoo. Remember, results from any permanent makeup removal option will vary depending on a number of factors such as skin type, the healing process, original pigment quality, and proper aftercare. Therefore seeking advice from someone who is an expert in skincare and permanent makeup removal is important. Colorado Skin & Vein is a leader for the past 16 years offering not only Permanent Makeup Removal but Full Body, Face, Vein Treatments, Aesthetic Services, and Laser Medicine services. You’ve probably heard about Botox injections before. Many people use Botox to enhance their facial features like their lips and cheeks and to smooth out lines around the eyes and forehead. You might even be familiar with Botox injections as a treatment for headaches, but did you know that Botox can also provide relief from TMJ pain? If you’ve suffered from temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, disorder, you know that it can be difficult to find relief from pain. TMJ disorder impacts your jaw joint and muscles around the face, but the pain that you feel can extend far beyond your mouth and teeth and can negatively impact your day-to-day life. From chronic headaches and earaches to pain while chewing and more, there are many symptoms that come with TMJ disorder that can often go undiagnosed for years. That’s where we come in. At Colorado Skin and Vein, we can help assess your TMJ pain and get you relief from your pain fast with Botox for TMJ. Let’s go over how Botox can help you. What is TMJ? TMJ, which is also often referred to as TMD, happens when the temporomandibular joint becomes irritated, stressed, displaced, or swollen. The TMJ is on both sides of your jaw, and the muscle acts as a hinge connecting your jawbone to your skull. To feel your TMJ in action, place two fingers on your jaw, right in front of your ear. Then open and close your jaw several times. You can feel the TMJ moving when you talk, yawn, eat… anytime you open and close your mouth. What are the Symptoms of TMJ? The symptoms of TMJ are: Pain while chewing Pain that spreads from the face to the neck Jaw stiffness A shift in the way that your upper and lower teeth fit together Ringing in the ears (also called tinnitus) Clicking popping noises when you open and close your jaw Locking of the jaw TMJ ear pain, headaches, and neck and shoulder aches are also very common due to stressed and overworked muscles. What Causes TMJ? There are several causes of TMJ, however, TMJ can also occur without a clear cause. TMJ injury, excessive strain on the muscles from aggressive chewing or eating hard-to-chew foods, teeth grinding, also called bruxism, stress that leads to muscle overuse and lockjaw, and a combination of genes and lifestyle can all play a part in what causes TMJ. How Can I Treat TMJ? TMJ pain can be managed with: Over the counter NSAIDS Prescription medications that help with stress and anxiety Eating softer foods Reducing habits like chewing gum and jaw clenching Physical therapy Botox for TMJ How Does Botox for TMJ Help? Botox works by temporarily freezing the nerve cell signals that tell your muscles to contract, which is how you end up with a smooth forehead and no more ‘11 lines’ between your eyes. When the injections are administered into the temporalis and masseter muscles, the nerve cell signals around the TMJ are frozen, which allows them to relax, unclench, and release. You’ll still be able to open and close your mouth to eat, speak, etc., but the muscles in your face will no longer be working in overdrive. How Fast Will I Feel Relief? You’ll likely start feeling relief within 24 hours of your Botox for TMJ injections, with the full effect achieved 14 days later. After receiving injections, you’ll need to remain upright for several hours afterwards and should avoid touching or rubbing the injection site. If you experience discomfort at site of injection, you can use an icepack to help alleviate pain. How Long Does Botox for TMJ Last? Botox is metabolized by our lymphatic symptoms, so injections will need to be repeated around every three months. What is the Botox for TMJ Cost? Botox is charged per unit, and the cost per unit ranges depending on where you have your injections done. At Colorado Skin and Vein, we offer competitive pricing at $12.45 per unit. If you’re looking for relief from TMJ pain, consider Botox for TMJ. To schedule a consultation with a member of our team, or to learn more about Botox and TMJ, contact us today!

We all have unwanted hair that is a continual tedious process to remove. If you are fed up with tweezing, inconvenient wax appointments, and spending far too much on razor blades, creams, and lotions — it’s time to consider professional laser hair removal. From legs to underarms, full-body laser hair removal is the quick and permanent solution to hair removal that will save you money in the long run. How Does Laser Hair Removal Work? A certified technician does this multiple-session process. A session can be as short as a few minutes or take up to an hour. Through repeated exposure to the skin by Intense Pulsed Light (IPl), laser hair removal destroys the hair follicles in the skin, preventing further hair growth in multiple areas of the body. This treatment is effective on every hair type. The benefits of laser hair removal are increasing in popularity, and if you are tired of your current hair removal process, you should consider this option. Here’s why… Precise and Smooth Results Advanced technology allows for an impeccably precise process, making laser hair removal ideal for specific areas such as the upper lips, nose, or eyebrows. This treatment’s preciseness leaves you with perfectly smooth skin as the treatments are incredibly accurate and reduce irritation. Options for Any Area One misconception about professional laser hair removal is that for sensitive areas or thick hair, laser hair removal is not a valid option. This is not true. Technology has drastically changed over the years! We can now remove hair from even the most delicate areas with far less irritation than waxing or other methods. Even the coarsest or darkest of hairs can be removed with professional laser hair removal, and your options and treatment plan can be discussed with your technician. It’s Quick and Involves Minimal Pain Contrary to what people think, laser hair removal is far LESS painful than other hair removal methods. The sessions are fast and a relatively painless process. Unlike waxing, which rips the hair out of the follicle, the laser that runs across the skin has been described as slightly uncomfortable but comparable to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against the skin — so not too bad! For more sensitive areas such as the face or bikini line, laser treatments are far less painful, taking only a few moments. Prevents Ingrown Hairs Shaving and waxing are known to trigger the risk of ingrown hairs by removing hair at the surface level, causing irritation. Full body laser hair removal treatment completely eliminates this issue because it guarantees hair removal at the follicle level, which means there is ZERO chance for ingrown hairs. Eliminate Fast-Regrowth No matter how hard you try, shaving causes your hair to grow thicker, and regrowth is an annoying inconvenience even with waxing. Imagine enjoying smooth, razor bump-free skin all the time. No longer will you have to be inconvenienced by a last-minute shave or wax for an event. It’s a Long-term Solution Arguably the best benefit of professional laser hair removal, unlike waxing, creams, or shaving, laser hair removal is permanent. The process has been shown to remove over 75% of hair permanently. In rare cases, you may have to go in a few months later for touch-ups in tricky areas, but the results have shown that long-term, it is the best solution to hair removal. Saves You Money Even when you factor in your investment for each laser treatment you’ll need, the investment pays for itself in the long run! Think about it, 6-8 treatments OR years of expensive razors, waxing, shaving creams, hair removal creams, lotions to protect skin from razor rash, and even more skin care products on top of that? Once your treatments are finished you will never have to schedule another wax appointment or endure endless supplies again! Laser hair removal aftercare is a thing, but far less complex than most aftercare routines. You can expect to leave your appointment with a lotion or two. When you evaluate the benefits of laser hair removal you can’t afford NOT to get it. Imagine hair removal without the repeated cost and hassle — and once you’re done, you’re done! Colorado Skin & Vein is a leader for the past 16 years offering not only Professional Laser Hair Removal but Full Body, Face, Vein Treatments, Aesthetic Services, and Laser Medicine services. If you are in the in the Denver area request a consultation with one of our providers today.

CoolSculpting is a simple (and painless) noninvasive procedure that destroys fat cells by freezing them. The treatment is straightforward, with no needles, incisions, or anesthesia. So, there isn’t much you need to do to prepare for your session. But you should keep a few things in mind as you near your appointment. How to Prepare for CoolSculpting Prepare your Skin. Because the procedure involves suctions and continual massaging, your skin needs to be as healthy and intact as possible to reduce potential irritation. Moisturize your skin weeks in advance to smooth out dryness for your future treatment. Avoid tanning and sunburns. (Think about a suction on a fresh burn — ouch!) Be mindful of physical activities that could cause scrapes, cuts, and bruises. (Your appointment could be delayed if your skin is too damaged.) Shave any body hair near and around the area that will be treated. Clean and remove any lotion from your skin directly before the treatment. Arrive Prepared. CoolSculpting treatments can last hours, so we advise you to eat a light meal or snack before and, of course, stay hydrated. Hydrating also helps the body remove toxins. Wear something comfy. Loose and comfortable clothes that are gentle on the skin are preferred. Keep in mind that you may get gel on your undergarments — consider bringing a change of clothes. Bring something to occupy your time. Again, you’ll be in a treatment bed for a couple of hours. Consider bringing headphones, a book, or think about bingeing your favorite shows while you are in your session. What Not to do to Prepare for Your CoolSculpting Treatment: 1. Don’t take medication/supplements that are considered blood thinners. Think anti-inflammatories, like aspirin or Advil. These should be avoided for at least one week before the procedure, as it increases your risk of bruising. 2. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and smoking. Unfortunately, smoking can slow your recovery process (and delay the results) so avoid smoking for at least a week before your session. Likewise, avoiding caffeine for two hours pre/post-treatment and alcohol an entire 24 hours before is recommended. Plan your social calendar accordingly. What to do After CoolSculpting Have Patience. As cliché as it sounds, all good things take time! You may see a difference in your body as early as two weeks, but your full results will take time, with the average results visible in three to four months. However, you’ll continue to excrete fat cells for up to three to six months after the procedures. Remember to take targeted photos of your progress throughout the process to see those before and after shots! Stay active and healthy. Your lifestyle and habits are contributing factors to your long-term success. The science is there; CoolSculpting does work! But your overall results will depend on you. Maintaining a healthy diet of vegetables, proteins, whole grains, and fruits, and exercising often will enhance your results! Consider additional treatments. After allowing your body time to heal (and seeing those results!), you may want to consider additional sessions. No, you won’t need follow-up treatments for the previously treated area, but you should consider if there are other areas, you would like to treat. What Not to do After CoolSculpting Don’t overdo it. Though noninvasive, keep in mind your body just went through a strenuous procedure and needs time to recover. You may be sore and should take time to rest. Pause the gym. You don’t want to irritate and ignite more soreness! Be gentle with your skin. When showering, take extra care around the affected area. Don’t expect results immediately. We already touched on this, but mentally prepare yourself to trust the process, and give your body time to heal. Possible Coolsculpting Side Effects Thankfully, the side effects of CoolSculpting are minimal. But there are a few things you should be aware of post-treatment. Though rare, during the first two weeks, you may experience the following Coolsculpting side effects: Tingling Deep itching Tender to touch Numbness Muscle spasms Aching and or soreness After four weeks, get ready to start seeing the positive side effects. For up to four months, your body will continue to process the injured fat cells into your body naturally. Colorado Skin & Vein has been a leader for the past 16 years, offering not only CoolSculpting but Full Body, Face, Vein Treatments, Aesthetic Services, and Laser Medicine services. If you are in the Denver area, request a consultation with one of our providers today.

Stretch marks on your thighs, buttocks, and stomach can be frustrating and even embarrassing. However, with proven stretch mark removal treatment methods like microneedling with SkinPen, you can minimize the look of stretch marks. This method allows you to experience the improved confidence you desire and deserve. Why do stretch marks occur? Before diving into the stretch mark removal treatment process known as microneedling, let’s talk more about stretch marks in general. For instance, how do we get stretch marks in the first place? Are stretch marks genetic? Are they permanent? To understand stretch marks, you need to understand the makeup of your skin. Your skin contains both elastin and collagen. Elastin and collagen keep your skin plump, bright, and youthful-looking. When you lose or gain weight within a short period of time, you may cause damage to the elastin and collagen layers. The damage isn’t severe but will be noticeable. Stretch marks are the visible result of that damage. As you might imagine, stretch marks can occur throughout your lifetime. A growth spurt during your teens might cause stretch marks on your legs, hips, or back. Pregnancy can be a time of stretch mark development, too. How are stretch marks removed with microneedling? Although stretch marks usually fade somewhat, they will not go away on their own. There is no way to get rid of stretch marks completely. You can successfully get them to fade through stretch mark removal treatment solutions such as microneedling. How will microneedling stretch marks make them seem less obvious? Microneedling involves making thousands of microchannels within an area of affected skin. The microchannels stimulate the surrounding elastin and collagen, encouraging new, firmer skin regeneration. Typically, people see an immediate difference after microneedling stretch marks. They can expect to see improvements for several weeks after each microneedling session. What is the benefit of the SkinPen for microneedling? The tools that your doctor uses when microneedling stretch marks matter. Advanced tools tend to translate to more precise and reliable outcomes. As the world’s first microneedling device cleared by the FDA, the SkinPen produces unparalleled results when applied to stretch marks. The SkinPen works quickly, too. With each pass, the device delivers hundreds of microchannels into the skin. Its advanced engineering and design allow it to be adjusted to different depths. This makes it a particularly versatile tool that offers true treatment personalization. What are the biggest side effects of microneedling stretch marks? Microneedling is a minimally invasive process. It does come with a couple of common side effects. The most evident is redness at the site where the microneedling was performed. The redness will go away within a few days as the elastin and collagen production increases. Some people like to keep their skin covered during healing. Sensitivity to sunlight is another side effect of microneedling. Care needs to be taken to avoid exposure to damaging UV rays. Applying sunscreen too soon may cause irritation. So right after microneedling, you may want to keep covered. Within about a week, you can apply sunscreen to the area. How often does microneedling stretch marks need to be done? A single microneedling session will be effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Most people follow up with at least one or two other microneedling sessions after about four to six weeks. In some circumstances, up to a half-dozen microneedling treatments may be warranted, especially if the stretch marks are very apparent. What is the price for microneedling as a stretch mark removal treatment? Microneedling costs vary based on a number of factors. These include the severity of the stretch marks, the size of the affected site, and the body’s response to microneedling. During your first consultation at Colorado Skin and Vein, you will be given a cost estimate individualized to your needs. Is microneedling a safe choice for taking care of stretch marks? If you have unsightly stretch marks, you probably want them as close to “gone” as possible. Microneedling can help you achieve your goal without compromising skin health or quality.
