Injury, surgery, or acne can leave lasting marks. Advanced treatments improve texture, color, and overall appearance of scarred tissue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Skin Concerns Questions Answered

How do I know which treatment is right for my skin concern?
During your consultation, we perform comprehensive skin analysis using advanced diagnostic technology. This assessment, combined with your concerns and goals, guides our treatment recommendations. We’ll explain why specific treatments suit your needs and create a customized plan.
Most treatments can be adapted for various skin types and tones. Our advanced laser systems and customized protocols ensure safe, effective treatment regardless of your skin characteristics. We assess your unique skin during consultation to determine the best approach.
Results vary by treatment type. Injectables last 3-12 months depending on product and location. Laser treatments provide lasting improvement as long as you protect skin from future damage. Maintenance sessions help sustain optimal results over time.
Recovery depends on treatment intensity. Many procedures require minimal downtime—you might experience mild redness for a few hours to a few days. More aggressive treatments like deep resurfacing may need 5-7 days healing. We’ll provide specific expectations during your consultation.
Our approach prioritizes natural enhancement over dramatic change. The goal is refreshed, revitalized skin that reflects how you feel inside—not an overdone appearance. Most patients report that others notice they look well-rested or healthy without identifying specific treatments.

Session requirements vary by concern severity, treatment type, and your goals. Some patients see improvement after one session; others benefit from a series. During consultation, we’ll outline a realistic treatment plan with expected timelines.

Yes, combination treatments often provide comprehensive results. We frequently create plans that layer complementary procedures—for example, pairing resurfacing with injectables, or combining IPL with skin tightening. Your customized plan may incorporate multiple modalities.
Medical-grade treatments use prescription-strength products and advanced technology that penetrate deeper skin layers. Our providers have extensive medical training and can safely deliver higher-intensity treatments that produce more significant, lasting results than standard spa services.
There’s no universal age for starting treatments. Some patients begin prevention in their 20s and 30s; others address established concerns in their 50s, 60s, or beyond. We assess your current skin condition and future goals to determine appropriate timing.
Pre-treatment instructions vary by procedure. Generally, avoid sun exposure, discontinue certain skincare products, and arrive with clean skin. We provide detailed preparation guidelines specific to your scheduled treatment during your consultation.
Most patients maintain results through periodic follow-up treatments. The frequency depends on your treatment type—injectables require regular refresh appointments, while laser treatments may need annual maintenance. We create long-term care plans that sustain your results.
We begin with thorough skin analysis, review your medical history, discuss your lifestyle and goals, then design a treatment plan addressing your specific concerns. Laser settings, product selection, and treatment intensity are all adjusted for your unique needs.
We prioritize clear communication about expected outcomes before treatment. If you’re dissatisfied, we’ll schedule a follow-up to assess results and discuss additional options. Some concerns require multiple sessions for optimal improvement; we’ll work with you to achieve your goals.

Angel Croce, Staff Manager at Colorado Skin & Vein in Denver

Angel Croce

Staff Manager

Angel has been in healthcare for more than 20 years. Her journey began in 2004, after her father suddenly passed away from a stroke. Losing him was a life-changing experience, and it inspired her to choose a career where she could help others and give patients and their families the care, compassion, and support they need during difficult times.

Throughout her career she has worked across cardiology, neurology, family practice, and urgent care — each experience helping her grow both personally and professionally. She now works in vascular care and aesthetics, where she enjoys building relationships with her patients, helping them understand their care, and making sure they feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey.

Outside of work, Angel is a proud mom of two. Family is incredibly important to her, and in her spare time she loves being outdoors with her husband and their two dogs — hunting, fishing, and enjoying Colorado.

For Angel, healthcare is more than a career — it is personal. What started as a way to honor her father’s memory has become more than two decades of caring for others, and she is grateful to keep doing something that means so much to her every day.
