Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Wrinkles

At what age should I start treating wrinkles?
Prevention is easier than correction. Many people begin neuromodulator treatments in their late 20s or early 30s to prevent expression lines from forming. However, effective treatments exist for all ages and stages of skin aging. A personalized consultation determines your optimal starting point.
When performed by qualified medical professionals using FDA-approved products and devices, wrinkle treatments are very safe. Our board-certified physician and certified aesthetic nurse specialist have over 20 years of experience and extensive training in advanced laser medicine and injectables.
Duration varies by treatment type. Neuromodulators last 3-4 months; dermal fillers 6-18 months depending on product and location; laser resurfacing results can last years with proper skincare and sun protection. Maintenance treatments preserve and enhance outcomes.
When administered correctly by experienced providers, treatments enhance your natural appearance without creating an overdone look. We prioritize subtle, refined results that maintain your ability to express emotions while softening lines and preventing future deepening.
Costs vary by treatment type, area size, and product amount needed. Neuromodulators are typically priced per unit; fillers per syringe; laser treatments per session or area. We provide transparent pricing and customized treatment plans during your consultation.
Most injectables require no downtime; you may experience minor redness or swelling for hours to a day. Laser treatments involve several days to two weeks depending on intensity. We’ll provide detailed recovery expectations and aftercare instructions for your specific treatment plan.
Absolutely. Combining treatments often produces superior results—for example, neuromodulators for expression lines plus fillers for volume loss. Our providers design comprehensive treatment plans addressing multiple aging concerns for harmonious, natural-looking rejuvenation.
Most patients tolerate treatments well. Injections cause brief pinching; we use ultra-fine needles and can apply topical numbing. Laser treatments involve heat sensation; we provide cooling and pain management. Your comfort is prioritized throughout every procedure.
Absolutely. Men increasingly seek wrinkle treatments to maintain a competitive professional appearance and look as energetic as they feel. Male facial anatomy requires different dosing and technique—our providers have extensive experience treating men.
Cosmetic wrinkle treatments are typically not covered by insurance as they’re elective aesthetic procedures. However, some neuromodulator treatments for medical conditions like chronic migraines or excessive sweating may qualify for coverage. We’ll verify benefits if applicable.
During consultation, we evaluate your skin type, aging concerns, desired outcomes, lifestyle, and budget. We’ll explain appropriate options, expected results, recovery requirements, and costs. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan aligned with your goals.
Preventive treatments like neuromodulators reduce muscle contractions that etch lines deeper over time. Laser treatments and proper skincare improve skin health and resilience. While treatments can’t stop aging, they significantly slow visible progression when combined with sun protection and healthy habits.

Angel Croce, Staff Manager at Colorado Skin & Vein in Denver

Angel Croce

Staff Manager

Angel has been in healthcare for more than 20 years. Her journey began in 2004, after her father suddenly passed away from a stroke. Losing him was a life-changing experience, and it inspired her to choose a career where she could help others and give patients and their families the care, compassion, and support they need during difficult times.

Throughout her career she has worked across cardiology, neurology, family practice, and urgent care — each experience helping her grow both personally and professionally. She now works in vascular care and aesthetics, where she enjoys building relationships with her patients, helping them understand their care, and making sure they feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey.

Outside of work, Angel is a proud mom of two. Family is incredibly important to her, and in her spare time she loves being outdoors with her husband and their two dogs — hunting, fishing, and enjoying Colorado.

For Angel, healthcare is more than a career — it is personal. What started as a way to honor her father’s memory has become more than two decades of caring for others, and she is grateful to keep doing something that means so much to her every day.
