Laura Carlsen, RN.
Vice President & Clinical Nurse Manager
Laura Carlsen has been making people more beautiful her whole adult life. As a Licensed ArqueDerma® Practitioner (see below), Laura continues to seek out the best education available.
Laura got her start, providing haircuts and perms to her classmates in college to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University.
After moving to Denver, Laura worked for Aveda, doing advanced trainings for salon owners. As Laura raised her two daughters, she worked as an aesthetician for Le Jardin and Montana Salon and Spa, eventually opening her own home business: Secret World Day Spa. The spa offered Laura the chance to grow a thriving business while being close to her children. After 12 years in business, Laura wanted to expand on her knowledge of skin care and went back to school.
Armed with a Nursing degree and a certificate of Registered Nurse, Laura went to work for Dr. Verebelyi in 2009. Laura has been able to contribute to Colorado Skin and Vein by writing protocol and assisting in surgery, learning laser safety and parameters, taking over the injectable practice, training and overseeing estheticians, and being responsible for all clinic supplies. The number of Botox patients has tripled in the last few years and her filler numbers put her practice in the top 6% in the nation.
Laura’s passion is in helping people to look younger and better, but not “done”. She prefers a conservative, natural approach. Because of her dedication to the long-term care of her patient’s skin, she still retains many of her original clientele from Secret World Day Spa. If you have an interest in perking up your looks but are not sure what to do, meet with Laura for a complimentary consultation. Her expert eye combined with incredible training from some of the top injectors in the world, will have you smiling in no time.
Continuing education helps to keep Colorado Skin and Vein on the leading edge of services offered. Laura recently traveled to Los Angeles to learn a new filler technique, and advanced Botox tips. The ArqueDerma® technique is described below.
About ArqueDerma® Artistic Restoration Lift®
Pronounced ‘ARC DERMA,’ the ArqueDerma® Artistic Restoration Lift® is a patented cutting-edge technique developed in California, by Leslie Fletcher, RN, MEP-C. It delivers FDA approved products, such as Juvederm, to improve facial laxity and wrinkles.
The ArqueDerma® technique corrects volume loss, effectively collects redundant facial volume and allows the practitioner to redirect it into facial hollows. Using precepts found in physics and architectural engineering, the ArqueDerma® technique effectively extends the use of dermal fillers by 40% and stimulates neo-collagenesis to achieve unprecedented, longer lasting results. Unlike conventional volume replacement techniques, the ArqueDerma® technique utilizes dermal fillers as strategic relocation vectors to redistribute and direct your tissue toward the facial hollows that have formed.
The Licensed ArqueDerma® Practitioner collects excess, descended facial volume, redirects it and then stabilizes it to create a more youthful, aesthetically-pleasing look that will reveal your natural beauty. Visitwww.arquederma.com to learn more.
