David Verebelyi, MD, RVT, is the chief of laser surgery at Colorado Skin and Vein, serving Denver, Centennial, Parker, Highland Ranch, and Lone Tree, Colorado. Dr. Verebelyi has been working with lasers since receiving his undergraduate degree more than two decades ago.
After graduating with his Bachelor of Science and a minor in psychology at the University of Missouri’s School of Science and Technology, Dr. Verebelyi worked as a biochemist for two years. He then went to St. George’s University School of Medicine for his Doctor of Medicine, graduating with honors, before completing his residency training in family medicine at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut.
Since residency, Dr. Verebelyi has received board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). He’s also a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) and a registered vascular technician (RVT), holding a specialized license under the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Dr. Verebelyi has been an instructor and presenter for several ASLMS courses and has trained many of the top professionals in the field of laser medicine and surgery. He helped develop both the Fundamentals in Laser Health Care course as well as the Industry course offered by the organization to improve safety and efficacy for all energy-based treatments. Dr. Verebelyi personally performs many of the treatments and ultrasounds at Colorado Skin and Vein.
He’s also worked with multiple on-air personalities for shows such as 10 Years Younger, Shear Genius, and Pinks, and Dr. Verebelyi’s passion for teaching has led to two ASLMS Presidential Awards. He’s also a long-time member of Mense and prides himself in breaking down barriers to learning, as well as processing complex concepts into simple, usable pieces of information.
When not working with patients, Dr. Verebelyi is a reviewer at the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and works nationally in complicated legal cases involving energy-based treatments. Dr. Verebelyi also helps develop new technologies and energy bases treatment protocols. He has been featured in several news stories and national publications.
