A vascular surgeon manages the circulatory system (think arteries and veins) and all the vessels through the body. Certain doctors who specialize in venous disease specialize in treating both veins and the lymphatic system. These doctors manage a variety of conditions from varicose veins, to swelling to certain vascular malformations.
