How Much Does Laser Tattoo Removal Cost?

Price of tattoo removal depends greatly on location and size of the treatment area, the depth and quality of the ink, the expertise of your provider, and the age of the tattoo. The average cost per session nationwide ranges from $200-$500. For more extensive tattoos, this can get expensive quickly, so removing a tattoo can cost anywhere from $1,000-$10,000. We understand that balancing the need to remove the tattoo with the impact to your finances is difficult, which is why Colorado Skin & Vein offers financing options. Whatever your reasons for removing a tattoo, you should have to “just live with it” because the treatment is expensive.

Dr. Verebelyi is one of the nation’s leading experts in laser medicine, so all you have to lose is that unwanted tattoo.

How Does PiQo4 Work?

The PiQo4 laser is 4 times faster than its predecessors, so Dr. David Verebelyi, fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, can remove your tattoo more thoroughly and in fewer sessions than ever before, saving time and money. The PiQo4 is also less painful and more effective after every treatment. The picosecond pulses break pigment into tiny particles, which the body absorbs and filters away naturally, leaving few if any traces of your former tattoo. Its larger spot size allows for faster removal without sacrificing precision.

PiQo4 has 4 different wavelengths, 1064nm, 532nm, 650nm, and 585nm, to target the nine most popular ink colors, from light orange to the more difficult blues and greens, all the way to black. Even multicolor tattoos or those that have proven resistant to other lasers don’t stand a chance against its 10x more powerful energy. Resistant tattoos are often still visible because their ink isn’t shattered to fine enough particles for the body to absorb. PiQo4’s energy and picosecond pulses take care of this issue, for the most effective tattoo removal there is.

Am I a Good Candidate?

Most anyone, regardless of skin type, can have laser tattoo removal, though those with lighter pigmented skin see more ink reduction. However, even those with complex tattoos can have them removed safely with PiQo4. A comprehensive consultation with the Colorado Skin & Vein team will help you decide.

What Results Can I Expect?

Because PiQo4 is a powerhouse in the laser tattoo removal market, your results will be achieved faster with more fading than other lasers available. Most tattoos require multiple sessions for satisfactory results. The age of the tattoo, depth and quality of the ink, location on the body, and size of the tattoo dictate the number of sessions you’ll need for successful removal. The closer the tattoo is to the heart (better circulation) the better the results. You may see some “frosting” of the tattoo following your sessions, as well as redness and swelling. This subsides quickly and the tattoo will fade in the following weeks.

"The staff at Colorado Skin & Vein is very helpful and always makes sure to answer any questions during visits. I can tell that they truly care about the patient experience. Thank you Dr. Verebelyi and Team!"
