Stem Cell (Bone Marrow) Therapy

STEM CELL THERAPY FOR JOINT DAMAGE

Bone graft harvesting is a non-surgical procedure that’s becoming widely popular among many men and women with painful joint disorders.

Stem cells are collected from autologous bone marrow and relocated to problem areas, speeding up the healing process. Marrow Cellution™ is the gold-standard in stem cell collection and has produced excellent results in many clinical trials.

LEARN MORE ABOUT STEM CELL THERAPY

What Is Stem Cell Therapy?

Stem cell therapy uses highly-organized living tissue to repair damaged cells in the shoulder or knee. The Marrow Cellution™ device allows Dr. Verebelyi to achieve a higher cell survival rate thanks to its patent-pending technology.

What Are Stem Cells Used For?

Osteoarthritis

Ligament Damage

Tendon Damage

Meniscus Damage in the Knee

Certain Autoimmune Conditions

Scar Reduction

Is Stem Cell Therapy Safe?

Bone graft harvesting is a safe and effective way to treat joint damage of all types. It uses marrow from your own tissue minimizing the risk of infection or rejection. Stem cells are a wonderful alternative to knee or shoulder replacement surgery.

Are Stem Cell Treatments Painful?

Aside from minor pain at the injection site, the procedure is typically well-tolerated. A topical numbing agent can be applied if needed.

How Is The Procedure Performed?

Dr. Verebelyi uses the minimally-invasive Marrow Cellution™ device to extract progenitor cells with the help of x-ray guidance. Progenitor cells are cells that are able to become whatever they’re placed next to (cartilage, tendon, bone, or muscle). After stem cells are harvested from various levels within the bone, a special centrifuge concentrates the cells for maximum value. They’ll then be precisely applied to predetermined problem areas.

What Happens After My Treatment?

That depends on the significance of your injury. Dr. Verebelyi will provide an individual recovery plan based on your specific needs.

What Results Can I Expect?

In most cases, patients won’t see results from their stem cell transplant until at least 3-weeks and for some, it can take upwards of 6-8 weeks. You should begin to notice a gradual improvement over the next 6-month period.

Is Stem Cell Therapy Right For Me?

Patients who would like a non-surgical solution for their shoulder or knee pain may want to consider stem cell therapy. Talk to your doctor about any health conditions at your initial consultation to ensure the best possible outcome.
