MINT PDO Threadlift

While gravity does a wonderful job of keeping us grounded on earth, it also is a key factor in causing our skin to sag as we age.

Once our body slows the production of elastin and collagen, gravity more easily pulls on our skin causing it to begin drooping. If you are beginning to see signs of aging, then the PDO Thread Lift can help.

LEARN MORE ABOUT PDO THREAD LIFT

What Is A PDO Thread Lift?

The PDO Thread Lift is a treatment that originated in South Korea and involves the use of a safe and effective absorbable suture made from a material called polydioxanone or PDO. This thread has helically molded barbs that, when inserted into the appropriate layer of the skin, will anchor sagging tissue, lift it upwards, and give instant rejuvenating and contouring to the area being treated. It is done with simple local anesthesia and involves minimal pain, minimal scarring, and a quick recovery.

How Does A PDO Thread Lift Work?

These threads are inserted using very fine needles called cannulas. They are threaded into the appropriate layer of skin and the special barbs anchor themselves into the soft tissue. The threads are then used to lift sagging skin into the desired position and anchor it into place. Not only does the skin get an instantly visible lift, but the fat tissue is also tightened, and collagen production is encouraged through this technique.

Am I A Good Candidate For PDO Thread Lift?

If you are an adult who has noticed signs of aging in the neck, jowls, and jawline, or who has crow’s feet, marionette lines, or sunken cheeks, then you are a good candidate for the PDO Thread Lift. Typically the best results are seen by people who maintain a healthy lifestyle and have maintained their weight for 3 months.

How Long Does A Typical Treatment Take?

A typical treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. This will include time for the topical numbing agent/local anesthetic to take effect and the threading procedure to be performed.

What Results Will I See?

Most patients will see an instant lifting of the skin when the procedure is complete. There will also be visible changes in the contouring of the cheeks and jawline, as well as the diminished look of lines and wrinkles in the face and neck. Because the procedure promotes the production of collagen, firmer and smoother looking skin will continue to become visible over the following weeks and months. Results generally last 9 months to a year.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no downtime associated with the PDO Thread Lift. Patients can have the procedure and immediately return to their regular schedule. It is advisable to sleep on your back for 2 weeks following the procedure and to avoid making dental appointments in which you may have to hold your mouth in a wide-open position for extended amounts of time. Your physician will advise you on when to resume any exercise routine, so be sure to discuss your workout routines with your provider.

Because this treatment has minimal pain, minimal scarring, instant results, and a rapid recovery period, it makes the perfect anti-aging treatment for people who are not ready for more serious surgical facelifts but want to look and feel their best.
