How Does KYBELLA® Work?
After injecting KYBELLA® into the fatty area under the neck, the deoxycholic acid breaks down the fat cells, and the body absorbs and removes them naturally. Killing these fat cells with deoxycholic acid prevents further fat accumulation and storage, leading to long-lasting results. While some patients may initially need multiple treatments, no retreatment is necessary once you have achieved your aesthetic desires. KYBELLA® injections are administered in-office and take only 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Most patients only report some swelling and mild tenderness which lasts for approximately 1-3 weeks, and they are able to resume their normal activities immediately.
What Results Will I See?
The results of KYBELLA® injections take a little time to become noticeable. After the treatment session, the deoxycholic acid will break down the fat cells, which the body will then absorb and remove naturally. Your results will continue to improve over a period of four to six weeks, at which point additional treatments may be necessary to achieve your desired results.
