CO2 Fractional Skin Resurfacing

A CO2 laser treatment can produce excellent results but can require some time for the skin to heal. Using a fractional CO2 laser that only treats parts of the skin allows people to enjoy faster healing and significant improvements.

A fractional CO2 laser targets areas of the skin while leaving bridges of untreated skin between them. This untreated skin helps the treated areas heal much faster, resulting in minimal recovery time. This form of laser treatment can improve loose skin, wrinkles, and acne scarring, among other skin concerns.

What Is CO2 Fractional Skin Resurfacing?

FX Fractional skin resurfacing is ideal for those wanting the shorter downtime and safety of a resurfacing procedure with similar results to traditional full carbon dioxide (CO2) resurfacing. Both Active FX and Deep FX can be performed in a single treatment in our office without anesthesia or sedation. During the fractional skin resurfacing treatment, the laser treats only a portion of the skin. This leaves small “bridges” of untouched skin. This patented Bridge Technology gives treated skin something to latch on to during the healing process. The healing process is much faster and allows patients to return to their normal activities much sooner than traditional CO2 procedures.

How Does CO2 Fractional Skin Resurfacing Work?

The CO2 laser is extremely precise and passes over the skin evenly. This allows the laser skin care provider to have optimal control over the procedure and be able to customize each treatment for every patient. We are able to target specific problem areas and work even closer around the mouth and eyes for better results, which may be difficult to achieve in traditional skin resurfacing.

The Active FX procedure is ideal for treating skin laxity, dark spots, large pores, and medium lines. The Deep FX procedure provides amazing results for deeper wrinkles and acne scars. These procedures are combined in the Total FX treatment to achieve truly amazing results in a single procedure.
